Red and White Day

So, I am slowing down...
Plus, I am running out of room to hang all these clothes...LOL

Wednesday... Today is Thursday... I decided to wear RED...

I had some red 4 way stretch material.. started with the earrings as usual....cut out a pair of bright Red pants and and scarf

I paired the red pants with a red and white blouse and scarf I had hanging with my Red polypoplin suit... and used the white free flowing cardigan...   Felt comfy.. did my twenty minute tubin's
Pattern...

Used my quick pants pattern old Simplicity 9597 - leggins pattern and making wider legs!

Made my Red earrings to get motivated... got out my jewelry accessories... and made my pants... and  VOILA

Added a Pretty Dead Watch face with a pinback to both sides of scarves and cat pin of course...

Free Flowing Cardigans

The benefit of cutting out multiples you always have something there to sew....

I have to be at work today... but I have a couple of cardigans cut out... so I am going to sew one and wear it.

Started with my Earrings.... Fabric of the cardigan

Pattern.. Pants...adjusted legs to tubes on Simplicity 9597

A little over a yard of fabric 60" wide 4-way stretch for pants

Pattern...Cardigan...Butterick 5045 shortened jacket 6 inches

around 2 5/8 yards 60" wide for cardigan-I usually round to 3 yards for scarves and jewelry type accessories.

Scarf strip of fabric folded over the width of the fabric and slant sewn ends... Under scarf regular rectangle.

It makes me feel better about going to work.  I just have to drink this cup of coffee and push myself over to the sewing machine.... because life goes on.

Love this material (4 way stretch Tubins) for the pants.. soo comfy with a little sheen... who can beat it- pants for 2.97

Pulled a strip of the multi polyester special printed chiffon table that is so sheer and lightweight like silk from the bottom for the scarf... and added an under scarf from my scarf hanger...

I love this poly chiffon - so graceful and light..and the colors.

My clothes brimeth over... but it keeps me happy going to work.. otherwise... I just want to pull the covers over my head.

And just as an aside... I did go to the reunion, the old high school and then OMG to the dance... and I DANCED like I was at the old High School Teen Club.... 52 years ago  haha

Here is the other Cardigan, I wore with the silk scarf and bright blue tubins.  I couldn't make up my mind as to what style the silk blouse should be.... so that is on the agenda tonight.  The true color of the jacket you can see in these earrings.  I need some white lining for the silk blouse... it is sooo lightweight it needs a lining or chemise, but feels yummy.  I love the blue and white print....  I love playing in the silk bin, but my budget is really the 2.97 a yard. (Jacket and pants)  Just think if I had to buy clothes at the regular store....ewww.   I would have to go back to career working...  Nah.. not happening today.

Glitter and Lace - and Something Ordinary but Colorful

So,  Here I am drinking my coffee

I was way too tired to do anything last night... I have to be at work at 1:00 PM...

Past Blues on Blues

I need to make my glittery top with some lace sleeves and a yoke...

BUT for today I work.. I see a different kind of blue for a free flowing cardigan, and

I need to make these palm trees before the warm weather has disappeared... so I must cut out fast and zip through  the machine as fast as I can - we will see if I can obtain my goal.   I am not due to wear the glitter and lace until Friday Night.   I think I am doing more Glitter for Saturday night, but I haven't determined what I will do for Saturday morning. ...... and we mustn't forget something spicy to get me through tomorrow at work... I think I will cut out 2 cardigans at once...one for today and one for tomorrow.  Day off

Eh   Next... Cut out the two cardigans... threw this outfit together

Cut out Silver Glittery dress--- totally unplanned but it was there...  So.. I will sew the two cardigans, glittery dress and glittery black top...

Okay, I got lazy on these pictures....  I have packed the closet area... well an outfit a day does make a lot of clothes...  I went to target and got big wreath hangers and hung them on the wall around my closet area and my sewing machine.  I hung a shoe bag filled it with my crocs... and then in no time the hangers on the wall were full.   There must be 10 to 12 outfits on each of the hangers now.

An outfit consists of  pants-shirt-cardigan-scarf.... or dress-cardigan-scarf... sometimes I throw a necklace on the hanger that seemed to really spice up the outfit...

my bracelets are stowed by color coordination in boxes....

Pretty bangles and bracelets are stowed in flower boxes that match the fabric bins and labeled for color-make earrings- put on earrings, put on bracelets... sew-iron- put on outfit and off to work.

Back to sewing so I can post the next four outfits... put one on and go out!  Packed Weekend planned.

Time?... I HAVE TIME FOR YOU---SEW THAT STASH!-WHAT WAS I THINKING?

OKAY, the agreement with myself was sew an outfit a day!

Yes, I have been.... but

I decided to go through the bins that were not labeled.

OMG!

I have almost bought some of this fabric more than once...

I say almost because... well, the truth is.. at only 2.97 a yard, if I have 2.97 I would spend it.

It has been fun, but the rude awakening came tonight as I was cleaning.  I live in a space not even a room, and I don't have a closet, I made a wall next to the open staircase coming into the cellar with a big piece of black vinyl when there was a sale.  I put a roll away pipe cart under the stairway and it has two pipes-upper and lower... IT Is FULL

I have  poly poplin suits in every color with matching blouses.... and some have skirts and pants... yet... an outfit a day..  TUBINS in EVERY COLOR IMAGINED....

I love this black lace print silk Cardigan

So... what am I missing?   TIME AND SPACE

No, you are not going to believe it, but I MADE TIME!

Everyone always says to me... I don't have time - like you...but

Did you ever think how much time you throw away... I did

I made a scarf-vestment style of all the time others threw away...

So Don't Throw Your Time Away... Use it!!

Mix and Match

This outfit needed a Jacket.....

This jacket was made for the pants suit...

I made this dress right before work...sleeveless... I now added sleeves.. winter is coming.

But then......

I had a green flowered shirt that had fuschia in it and.... an infinity scarf....

SOOOO  MIX AND MATCH

Don't Forget to Accessorize!!!
